About Birnbeck
We have been housing people in vulnerable groups for over 40 years and in recent years our development programme has been targeted in particular at providing housing for people on the autistic spectrum. Our aim is to provide excellent quality, affordable housing with the right level of support for our tenants.
Partnerships With Other Agencies
We could not deliver all of our services alone. We partner with many other organisations to ensure that our tenants get the support that they need. This includes working closely with support providers, local authorities, social services teams, alongside specialist voluntary organisations and charities.
The subsequent relationships established with a variety of Local Authorities means that partnerships with Birnbeck prove attractive to both regional and national organisations.
Finance and Development
We have an in house development team and a wide range of specialist consultants who help us deliver all of our schemes. Cyclical maintenance, major repairs & planned maintenance are delivered by our specialist team with reliable local contractors providing a response 24 hours per day, 365 days a year.
Financing of new schemes is achieved by a combination of grant funding, private finance and the use of our own capital resources. We have access to charitable donation finance to support schemes which would be unaffordable by other methods.
We are committed to providing affordable rents and service charges for our tenants to give everyone the best possible chance to live independently and feel safe and secure in their own home.
Geographical Diversity
Birnbeck is committed to developing schemes in areas of the greatest need. We provide homes in a number of geographical locations, proudly providing a high quality service irrespective of what area we operate in or the size of the scheme.
We recognise that for our tenants sometimes living close to family, friends and local contacts is of great importance. We currently provide homes covering the Midlands, South, London, Essex and South West of England.

Tenant Engagement
Tenant engagement is of great importance to us as we recognise the value of tenants being involved in the services and homes provided to them. We have a range of tenant engagement methods such as tenant meetings, consultation, training and questionnaires to help shape the services we provide.
